Cross Vegas

We sure won't see any Sandbaggers at Cross Vegas tonight! Too bad Interbike is moving to Anaheim next year and we will no longer see Cross Vegas for at least 3 years. NOTHING beats the 10,000 people drunk and rowdy cheering on the best in cross racing.

***Edited***

Anyway, with no OVCX or Cap City for two weeks, I may not have much to write about. Or maybe I will.

Until next time

  1. Wow...sounds like you should just stay home and watch Fox News or something. We don't need you following our sport...thanks anyway.

  2. I have to say I am very offended by your racial comments and in my opinion there is no place in cycling or any sport for this type of thinking or spouting. For that matter, these types of comments are what fuels racism in this world and have no respect for you or your views.

  3. Your rules...5: Lets keep this somewhat civil. If the submissions or comments get too unruly, I will shut this blog down. We don't need people going to races angry. I will try not to post anything too offensive and I will delete comments which I may deem too insensitive or other commentators deem it so. And please, if I start to get out of line, send me an email to keep me in check.

  4. You're an idiot. If your identity becomes clear don't expect too much positive comments on the mic anytime soon.

  5. I hope you're being satirical. If you're not then you probably don't know what that means, look it up.

First off, Katsu was is Japanese and he has grown up in Athens Ohio. He is one on the best mechanics in the country an is insanely passionate about bikes. He loves the whole cycling culture and immerses himself in it fully. Katsu has never taken anything away from anyone. If you want the prize money he's earned, then go out and finish ahead of him at every race. It that simple. He gets prize money by following the rules and racing every chance he gets. Some of you douchebags whos egos are so big and fragile that you won't even go race for fear of failure can't understand a guy like Katsu.

Ryan Trebon and Jeremy Powers go over to Europe and get lapped but they still get paid and they're good ole white Americans. I guess you hate them as well because they obviously suck.

  6. i've never met katsu but i like to root him on at ever race i see him at. he always seems positive and i like cheering on the underdogs for sure. he will be at the front soon.

some junior riders where sitting underneath our tent heckling some of the riders and when katsu came through one says "you need to downgrade to a 3". i just ducked my head in shame. not the style of heckling i like to hear from others.

  7. I seriously thought about stopping and having a word with those kids heckling by the barriers.

  8. Is Scot H not going to weigh in on this one? I look forward to his insights after each post.

  9. How about I post for him. He is pretty predictable.

"Worst, most irresponsible website Ive ever seen. This will be great for building cycling culture in the area. Congratulations you dipshit for not thinking this through." -Scot H

  10. You are bad for our sport. Go try to bog down someone else's sport or better yet, keep your negative comments to yourself. Love how nobody wants to use their name in blogosphere. My name is Scot Herrmann and I like this sport. Dont try to bring it down. Ryan. Nobody appreciates what (you think) you're doing. And if you are so damn proud of what you're doing, dont hide behind an anonymous blog weasel. Stand behind your words, use your damn name!

  11. Scot as usually you are right on point. I don't think cyclocross is strong enough as a sport to survive this continued assault from the internet. How many people have to give up cross forever before you learn the error of your ways???
